Issue # 40 –What you gonna do?

Can you imagine being told that it’s going to rain shortly and all you see is blue skies, bright sun and a warm atmosphere,? Rain! I’ll see about that.

Then all of a sudden later on in the day things begin to change. The weather breaks, the breeze picks up, clouds appearing as if from nowhere and then the heavens open. Caught in the middle of an open sky you begin to run for shelter. You also remember that you had a need to capture some rain water.

So you run to the shed to put out a few containers only to find that it is locked. Now where is the key? Searching left and right and all the places it could be but no results. Just like that you watched the rain pour down but could not do anything to capture any of it. Imagine barrels of water coming down and falling on the ground as you watch it soak the earth.

How could this happen and you not take advantage of it? Well, not taking heed to the message before. The message came earlier, "it’s going to rain shortly" to get you in position to prepare.

Are you ready for what God wants to do in your life? For weeks, months, years you have been told that God is going to do some great things. And the good news, he has you to be a part of it.

Now how prepared are you for when God shows up and rains in your life? What are you going to do, when you don’t have any more mortgage to pay? What are you going to do when you get in position to retire early? What are you going to do when you get set up with your own business?

What are you going to do when all of a sudden you are getting married? What are you going to do when you find yourself debt free and you now have more money in your hand? What are you going to do when God gives you the desires of your heart?

“I violated the Noah rule: Predicating rain doesn’t count; building arks does”.
Warren Buffett

How are you going to respond? Well you better get ready for this change in your life because the opportunity is coming shortly. And it won’t be an April Fool prank.

Are you ready to face eternity? If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of your life and desire to make that commitment now please repeat the following prayer:

Lord Jesus be merciful to me a sinner. I realize that I have sinned against you and come short of your glory. I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and I believe in my heart that God has raised him from the dead. I pray for your forgiveness and ask that you save me now and accept me into your kingdom. Give me eternal life today.
In Jesus Name, Amen.

Issue # 38 – Can you use some 'Z'zzzz?

As you got up this morning were you forced out of bed or was there an excitement to get the day started? Either you will be drawn out of bed with passion or live in a state of wanting to stay there forever. Do you have any drive to face each day or is this a big struggle for you?

Is there anything in life that gets you excited, fired up, thrilled, motivated, hopping, skipping, jumping, dancing, adrenaline pumping, thank God I’m alive to experience this?

Well, we are on the last lap of our series A – Z and you did make it to the end. I guess it’s time to get your Z’zzzz. Not so fast my friend let’s deal with our subject matter first. What kind of 'zeal' do you have?

Zeal:
1.Enthusiastic devotion to a cause, ideal, or goal and tireless diligence in its furtherance.
2.Eagerness and enthusiasm.

Look at the popular television show American Idol and how much zeal and passion these people show looking to get a chance at their big break. Zeal is the thing that gets your adrenaline pumping about a particular thing, even if it seems like a long road ahead. You may have experienced that this level fluctuates at times. I’m sure you have seen times in your life when you were so excited and motivated you could have carried the world on your shoulder. Then there were those days like life felt so hard.

Did you know that those days of high energy and zeal were meant to carry you a long way? It’s like when you fill your car with gas to take you where you need to go, that’s providing you did the right thing. The more you have the further you can go.

Therefore in those days when you’re at high peak it is wise to be as productive as possible. It doesn’t matter how high your level is, the reality is that you will face some challenging days. During those moments is when you can reflect on the accomplishments and the progress of times past. This exercise should be a positive factor because it should recharge you and get your juices flowing again to go after your intended goal.

Everyone that was successful in life faced days of opposition and wanting to give up. It’s what you do in the face of opposition that determines the results you get in life.

Above all things, there is nothing in life that you should have greater zeal for than God and the things he desires. "1Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God,..". Romans 10:1-2 (KJV)

You must bear in mind things will pass away but God will last forever.

Warning

Please stay away from these zeal blockers:

1.Negative people
2.Corrupt lifestyle
3.Procrastination
4.Disobedience
5.Separation from God.

Are you ready to face eternity? If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of your life and desire to make that commitment now please repeat the following prayer:

Lord Jesus be merciful to me a sinner. I realize that I have sinned against you and come
short of your glory. I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and I believe in my heart that God has raised him from the dead. I pray for your forgiveness and ask that you save me now and accept me into your kingdom. Give me eternal life today.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
