Issue # 29 - Are you enjoying your ‘S’ ?

Change is necessary as you move along in your journey in life. Through this you see various signs of growth, progress and advancement. But so often you are afraid to move out of your comfort zone. Why? You are afraid of the fact that you do not know what you are going to get.

So you choose to stay there, the sad thing about that, you miss out in experiencing new things. Imagine everyday being Monday, you would miss the joy of knowing what Fridays are like.

You know like, receiving your paycheck after your work week. Looking forward to enjoying the weekend and spending time with your family and friends. Getting some much needed rest and sleep that you desired from Monday.

Well today in continuing our series from A- Z, I want to reflect on the word 'season'. either you are approaching a new season, in a season, or coming out of a season.
Regardless of your state are surrounded by it.

Season :
1. A recurrent period characterized by certain occurrences, occupations, festivities, or
crops: the holiday season; tomato season.
2. A suitable, natural, or convenient time: a season for merriment.
3. A period of time: gone for a season.

"A word out of season may mar a whole lifetime"
Greek Proverb

In recent times we have seen some unusual things happening on the face of the earth. One thing I know is that seasons don’t last long. "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:" Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV) So if you want to make the best out of it you must move quickly and be efficient.

Spring, summer, autumn, winter. Easter, thanksgiving, christmas. Baseball, football, basketball, soccer and so on. All these relate to various seasons that we know about.

How many times have you been waiting on a particular season and because you were unprepared it came and slipped right past. If you are going to get the best results you must prepare before the season begins.

You must take on the mindset of a farmer. Preparing the ground is a must if you are going to expect a good harvest. Your seeds must be sown in good ground. I know you will sow what you reap, but WHERE you sow is important. This will determine if your season will be one of joy or regret.

Even in hard times you can have fruits to sustain you if you did what was right. So what does it take to have a good season? How is it that some people blossom during or after a bad season? "1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." Ps. 1:1-3 (KJV)

Life will take you through many seasons but make sure in the end you are left with fruit from the right tree. "….To him who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant to eat [of the fruit] of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God." Revelation 2:7 (Amplified Bible)

Did you know?……………….
The one place where a flag flies all day, never goes up or comes down, and does not get saluted, is the moon.

Coming next …………….. letter 'T'

Are you ready to face eternity? If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of your life and desire to make that commitment now please repeat the following prayer:

Lord Jesus be merciful to me a sinner. I realize that I have sinned against you and come
short of your glory. I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and I believe in my heart that God has raised him from the dead. I pray for your forgiveness and ask that you save me now and accept me into your kingdom. Give me eternal life today.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
