Issue # 35 -Do you like the big ‘W’ ?

As we speed on in this series A-Z. I am sure you have had some experience with this next word I am about to introduce you to.

Whether you have waited for a few moments, days, weeks, or years. It doesn’t matter how much experience you have had with it, there are still times when you have to face it that it still can be challenging.

We now arrive at the word 'wait'. Before we move on let’s take a few meanings of this word.

Wait :
1.To remain or rest in expectation.
2.To tarry until another catches up.
3.To remain or be in readiness.
4.To remain temporarily neglected, unattended to, or postponed.

Each day our lives is met with some situations where we have to wait. For some it may start very early in the morning as you as you have to wait to use the bathroom. Waiting on someone to get ready as you leave your house or waiting for your ride to pick you up.

How about waiting in traffic, waiting on line in a business place, waiting in the doctor or dentist office. Waiting for someone to answer the phone on a very important call. Waiting for lunch time to come so you can take a break only to wait again before you can get your lunch.

What about the situations when it’s more difficult? Waiting on a response to the many jobs you applied for. Waiting on some very important documents so you can move ahead in your life. Waiting for your flight to leave after it has been delayed a few times. Waiting on a doctor’s report after you or a family member has fallen ill. Waiting on something that you know God has for you.

There is something mentioned above that you can identify with. The main thing about this message is not about being able to identify, but our response and attitude in these situations. I believe we go through these things for a reason. How is it that some people can wait for a while and be at peace, while others who have to wait for a moment become agitated ?

I believe the attitude in how we wait can dictate to how long we wait. Impatience, grumbling and complaining will cost you, either now or in the long run. You will be driven to move out of place because of your impatience.

By the way, what are you doing while you wait? Even waiting calls for you to do something. This is for those who want to live above average and do it in the shortest time possible.

Many people focus a lot of their attention on why they have to be the one waiting and other distracting thoughts. All this can lead to idle time if the truth be told all of us have to wait.

Well then how about using your time to empower yourself or someone. It’s all about time management. Every situation in life is unique even though some may appear to be repetitious. Imagine while you are waiting you are using your mind to now layout your paths for the next phase or chapter in your life.

There’s nothing wrong with advanced planning. Remember I said this is for those who want to do things in the shortest time possible. Well this will help towards that. Reading a good book, listening to an inspirational CD, learning a new language, praying etc. All this can help you while you wait.

And remember the next option, help someone. I’m sure there is someone around you that you can share and receive from. Anything from advice, the latest news, testimony, personal goals, learn a skill. All of a sudden as you are doing one of these you hear next, as others try to get your attention. The wait is over as you are surprised at how fast time went by.

Even in waiting you can enjoy the moment. So would you rather be grumbling and complaining about how long you have to wait or make an enjoyable adventure. Anyone who really discovers and uses the secrets of occupying yourself while waiting will find out that the wait won’t be long.

“Next in line please,” well it’s now your time to be served.

Are you ready to face eternity? If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of your life and desire to make that commitment now please repeat the following prayer:

Lord Jesus be merciful to me a sinner. I realize that I have sinned against you and come short of your glory. I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and I believe in my heart that God has raised him from the dead. I pray for your forgiveness and ask that you save me now and accept me into your kingdom. Give me eternal life today.
In Jesus Name, Amen.

Issue # 34 -'V' stands for ?

For the past 20 weeks they have fought hard in efforts to reach to this moment. Throughout this week in homes, at work, church, public places, and many parts of the world this will be the major subject matter. Some call it 'The Big Dance'. On Sunday many will be looking on to see who will receive the honor and be crowned champions of the NFL.

Gimme a V, you gat your V you gat your V. Now go ahead and give me some volume. Come on you can turn it up a little more than that.

Well it’s time to get back to our series A-Z. We are now on the verge of a word that you were born to have in your life. Sadly to say for both of us we have some work to do on this matter in some areas of our lives.

Well the quicker I give it to you the quicker you can embrace it. V-I-C-T-O-R-Y , It’s time to pull out the 'victory' .

Victory:
1.Defeat of an enemy or opponent.
2.Success in a struggle against difficulties or an obstacle.
3.The state of having triumphed.

You and I were born with a spirit of victory but are you living a victorious life? Even though you can walk in victory it doesn’t just fall from the sky in your lap. Well even if it did, you still have to do something in order to keep it.

You must realize that when you achieve victory you become an open target to many people. The funny thing about it is that these same people have the opportunity to have victory in their own life.

If you want victory or success shouldn’t you go to other persons that has it evident in their lives and ask them how they did it.? But you know it doesn’t happen that way. What they do is choose to be jealous and envious of you.

Sometimes it surprises you who these people are. You can offer to help them get to that same place but they refuse to accept your help. Well my friend you can only offer, it is up to the one who needs help to accept it.

Yes you can be victorious, yes you can accomplish your goals. Obtaining victory can be a long hard fought battle, but if you be persistent you will see the results turn in your favor.

There may be defeats, disappointments, and pain but you must hang in there. Then all of a sudden you will be the one standing with the prize in your possession.

Take a look at these reason why you should have victory:

Victory vs. Defeat

1. Prize gained vs. Prized loss
2. Accomplished goal vs. Unaccomplished goal
3. Happiness vs. Sadness
4. New opportunities vs. Loss opportunity
5. Opened doors vs. Closed doors
6. Respected vs. Disrespected
7. Satisfaction vs. Disappointment

Now tell me which state would you rather have in your life?

Are you ready to face eternity? If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of your life and desire to make that commitment now please repeat the following prayer:

Lord Jesus be merciful to me a sinner. I realize that I have sinned against you and come short of your glory. I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and I believe in my heart that God has raised him from the dead. I pray for your forgiveness and ask that you save me now and accept me into your kingdom. Give me eternal life today.
In Jesus Name, Amen.

Issue # 33 - Where is God in Your Plans?

I know it is always good when you can get a fresh start and new beginning. So many plans and ideas are racing through your thoughts that you can’t keep up with them. Then you get so caught up in I want to do this and I want to do that this year.

Each day you live there are so many directions that you can take, so many things to do and so many people to see. But do you stop to consider is this really the way I should be going? Is the thing that you are planning and giving your time to beneficial to what God has planned for your life?

The thing that gets your attention is what will consume your time and life. When you would have completed your journey each day and look back at what has been accomplished, the journey may have been satisfying or not. I am sure that you want to have done something that you are satisfied with at the end of the day.

Well the big question to you is where is God in your plans? An even better question is Where are you in God’s plan? Do you know where you should be? "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails." Proverbs 19:21 (New International Version) If you want a productive life you need to make each day productive. Just think about yesterday, was God included in your plans or you made your own?

Having God in your plans starts first with acknowledge and consultation. Remember he has the master plan that links everything and everyone together. So if you do your own thing you will eventually go contrary and be out of place. That’s the reason why you don’t feel comfortable because what you are doing doesn’t line up.

One of the worst things to experience is to build something and then have it broken down because it wasn’t right. Well to avoid all that you should start the right way. This is what helps you make sure you are in line. Starting right is essential to ending right. Even if you are own the wrong route as you read this there is still hope.

So make it a must to follow God’s plan and have regular inspections. When you get God’s approval to do something and it is done properly he will put it on display for others to see. God loves to show off his work.

Do what God desires and get ready for him to show you off.

Issue # 32 - Congratulations

Well, well, well…. You made it over to aye?

Congratulations!

Count it a privilege to have been given the opportunity, to see a New Year. If you really think about it you are very fortunate. How do I know? Well if you ask some people to read this there would be no response. Why? Because they came to the last scene and end of the movie in life before they could cross over this threshold of 2009.

As for you, it is only a transition as you end one scene to begin a new one. The past is gone and you cannot change it. So what do you do now? Take a deep breath and move forward with boldness. There are so much opportunities ahead of you. Guess what? They are waiting on you to embrace them. There is no room for procrastination, you don’t have forever to make your move.

Picture this, you are part of a #1 motion picture and many scenes have already been recorded. It’s now your time and the scene is set for you to enter.

Yes the lights will now shine on you as you play your part. Quit worrying if you can do it, you have been handpicked by the producer ? He knows you have what it takes. Just trust him and listen to his guidance and counsel. You have an Oscar award waiting on you for your performance. It’s not can you do it but will you do it.

Yes, go ahead give it your best shot and stir up the gift in you. Let me tell you this, major investment was put into this film and you have this great opportunity to contribute to it. The producer will stop at nothing to get this done. If you let this opportunity go someone else will take your place.

I’m sorry, let me not hold you up any more cause time is running out. Go ahead and make God and your family proud.

Happy New Year.

Good Success In 2009
